This Precious Alchemy is reader-supported. I would be honored and grateful if you considered becoming a free or paid subscriber.
This week, I’m trying something a little different. Instead of one card to give support and wisdom for the week ahead, I’ve chosen daily cards. I find that sometimes when I draw one card to represent an entire week, I either forget the card, or I lose the magic and power in that card by the week’s end. I’m excited to explore in this new way this week. Let me know if you have any strong preference for either approach.
An extra fun aspect of the daily cards is that I can mix and match from different decks and card-reading schools. That being said, I may sometimes pull a card from a system of which I am not an expert. Nothing is perfect, and either I or the deck creator may not cover all the deeper aspects of something. If you ever find that your internal idea for a card meaning is different from mine, please go with your own wisdom. Yours is the most valuable interpretation.
One last important thing to note before you explore the cards below: The cards this week have been drawn in the spirit of adventure and play. If possible, resist trying to interpret/understand all the cards in advance. This might unconsciously color your experiences during the week! Instead, gently engage with a card on that card’s day. Try not to anticipate what something might or might not mean beforehand.

Haecceity from Resilience Alchemy
Haecceity means “thisness” in Latin. As you enter the week, reflect on what it is that makes you unique. What do you bring into the world that no one else can? What is yours alone? Somehow, in some way, your uniqueness is important today. What quirk, talent, or ability might be needed? What reminder is this card trying to give you? Reflect on the idea that you make the world a more diverse, beautiful place simply by sharing your truest self. Don’t hide away!

The Devil from The Zodiac Tarot
Throw off the chains! Let go of what other folks tell you is right or wrong! The Devil comes to caution you that some idea, habit, or relationship isn’t being helpful right now. You are being held back, made small. Slow down. Crawl out and stand up in the open spaces. Think about what you truly believe to be right and true. Follow your own heart. Even the idea of right or wrong—is that a chain, too?
Wednesday, April 24th
Meadowlark - Protect from Prairie Majesty Oracle
As the card says, How can you safeguard what is SACRED to you? Do you need to set some boundaries today to protect what is important in your life? With Wednesday, we’re at a halfway point through the week. Take care of yourself and your needs, projects, relationships, dreams, truths. Where you focus your attention and expend your energy is where you build your life. Are you building a life that is meaningful to you?

Step Back from Pleasure Alchemy
Ok, ok, it’s time to take a break from focusing on the details. Vital beauty and information may be missed if you don’t lift your eyes and look around you. Take a step back in order to see the larger picture, the bigger pattern, the grander scheme. Blink! Anxiety and pressure can distort one’s view. Take a walk up a hill. Sub specie aeternitatis—from the view of eternity.
Friday, April 26th
Soothe - Chamomile from Hedgewitch Botanical Oracle
Self-care! Wrap yourself in comfort today. There may be an instinct to just power through today. The weekend is so close! Still, take time to nourish and care for yourself. Don’t burn out. Pick or smell flowers if you can. Drink tea. Yes, you may love that coffee, but sometimes more energy isn’t really the answer. Where is the calm center? Find that space and breathe. If they want confrontation, tell them you are out of the (real or metaphorical) office for the day.
Saturday-Sunday, April 27th-28th
Victory from The Parlour Sybil
Honestly, I got nothing except what it says. You made it through the week. And there were victories in the week, weren’t there? Even if they were small, simply the fact that you made it through is a victory! Do something to celebrate this. Light a candle, give yourself congratulations, boast of your achievements, clink glasses with yourself and/or with friends. Dress up! Wear jewels! Yes, it’s ok to buy yourself a treat.
